Celebrating our amazing young fundraisers and their awesome teachers and supporters
While the aftermath of the pandemic and the cost of living crisis continue to impact the capacity for individual giving, Mummy's Star is feeling the love from our amazing school and nursery supporters who continue to champion what we do and raise funds vital funds amongst their staff, students and communities.
Here are a few from 2021/22...
Glossopdale School and Sixth Form
This local school chose Mummy's Star as the beneficiary for their Student Business Initiative back in 2021. Participating students were given a small stipend and challenged to increase the amount as much as possible in one year. Part of the challenge saw a fantastic stall selling handmade cards, jewellery, soaps and cakes at their Christmas Fair. They also gave out leaflets and bracelets from Mummy's Star.
The students did a great job and we are excited to once again be part of the programme in 2022/23!
Rosedene Nurseries
This group of nurseries in Teeside and North Yorkshire are long time supporters of Mummy's Star and have organised some fabulous fundraising over the years and across their sites. From luxury hampers raffled off at Christmas, to cake and cookie making with the kids, it's always a joy for us to see all those stars and smiling faces!
Lansbury Bridge School & Sports College
Star Mum Laura took her personal experience with cancer and pregnancy to work at Lansbury Bridge in Mersyside, sharing Mummy's Star's work with staff and students, and getting everyone involved in star-themed crafts to raise awareness of Cancer and Pregnancy Awareness Day in June 2021.
They also took the opportunity to raise some funds, but the shining part of this day really is knowing that these students and their families and community now know more about cancer and pregnancy and Mummy's Star.

We have so, so many great school supporters and not enough space to list them all here. We are hugely grateful to ALL of them for choosing to make us part of their community engagement, their PSHE lessons, their business curriculum and their fetes and fair days.
